Pitch your ideas (P4, M3: U21)
Learning Outcome: Be able to pitch ideas on a proposed media product and respond to questions
Final Powerpoint
M3 = Client Feedback
My response
The client asked if online subscribers had access to the same content print subscribers had and I see how this should have been specified in the presentation and yes they do, as both will have access to the playlist that comes with each issue, which will be inside the magazine.
When receiving feedback the client asked what was to stop people from opening ip magazine and just scanning the code. Well we can put plastic covers on our magazines to stop people from just reading through it and scanning the code or we could put a peel off sticker on the code so people can still look through the magazine and know what they’re buying. From this feedback I understand that we should look into ways to prevent people from scanning the code. We would be losing money since we are having our personnel put together the playlist and none is buying our magazine and instead getting the playlist for free.
Another piece of feedback i received was similar to the previous piece of feedback and was once the customer has the code then they won't need to buy another issue to access the new playlist I see how this would be important to sort out otherwise like the previous piece of feedback people would be able to access our playlist for free and not need to buy our magazine as the playlist is our USP ,The playlist will be private and the playlists will be separate.
The client asked if maybe i was using to many colours in the colour scheme. When looking at this feedback I see how this could be an issue I am using quite a bit of colours and the use of too many colours will clash and the magazine won't look good and be appealing to target customers but if you look at the mockup then you can see that the colours work.
Another thing the client said was that my skyline which said 'British indie magazine' and they recommended that i should change it to 'North London magazine' So ill take this into account when making my magazine and if I should change British indie magazine to north London indie magazine
My final piece of feedback was that the mood of my power point didn't really match the mood of my mock-up front cover, I see how this would be important as the power point should reflect the magazine that I am making otherwise it could be confusing for the client. Maybe I could change it to match the power point by making the background of the magazine a bit darker.

You said that online subscribers had access to extra content do the print subscribers access that as well?
Once your magazine gets better established what’s to stop people from opening up the magazine and just scanning the code?
Linking on from that once you go the code for the playlist then they wont need to get another issue to access the new songs unless you make it private?
Looking at the colour scheme and the colours your using, I’m sort of wondering if you used a bit too many colours in it
One of the things where it doesn’t really fit the brief is Where its got British indie magazine I think its lacking that kind of branding and needs something to associate it to north London also in you cover lines (to reference north London more)
The mood of the power point didn't really match the mood of the mock-up front cover
